Privacy Policy
Last updated: 7 November 2026
Langtons Health & Fitness Limited (“Langtons”, “we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This notice explains how we handle personal information when you visit our website, enquire about services, take part in coaching, or use our coaching app. It also explains how an optional Garmin Connect integration would work if we make it available.
1. Who is responsible for your information?
Data controller: Langtons Health & Fitness Limited (company number 17510714).
Registered office: 26 Shepherd's Way, South Chailey, Lewes, England, BN8 4QQ.
Privacy contact: hello@langtonsfitness.co.uk.
2. Information we collect
Depending on the services you use, we may collect your name, contact details, enquiries, appointment details, invoices and payment status, messages, fitness goals, training programmes, exercise records, food diaries, progress reports, and health or medical information you choose to provide for safe and appropriate coaching. Our website may also process technical information needed to deliver and protect the site, such as request logs.
3. Why we use it and our legal bases
- Providing coaching and managing bookings: to take steps at your request or perform our contract with you.
- Enquiries and running our business: our legitimate interests in responding to enquiries, operating services and keeping them secure, balanced against your rights.
- Invoices, accounting and legal obligations: to comply with applicable legal requirements.
- Health information: where required, we seek your explicit consent for processing special-category health data for coaching, screening and programme adjustments. We explain the purposes and any alternative arrangements before collecting it.
- Optional wearable integration: if offered, we request your authorisation to connect an account and, where health data is involved, explicit consent for specified uses.
Marketing emails, where offered, are handled under applicable electronic-marketing rules. You may opt out at any time.
4. Garmin Connect and wearable data
Garmin integration is planned and may not yet be available. If enabled, you will choose whether to connect your Garmin account through Garmin's authorisation process. Subject to Garmin permissions, compatible devices and the scopes you approve, we may receive activity records, steps, heart-rate measurements, sleep or recovery indicators and related training information.
We would use this information to display your training and recovery trends and help your authorised coach tailor coaching. We will not use Garmin data for advertising or sell it. Connecting Garmin is optional and is not required to use our ordinary coaching services. You may disconnect the integration and withdraw the relevant consent by contacting us or using an in-app control if provided. Disconnecting stops future access where technically supported; you may separately request deletion of previously received data, subject to legal exceptions. Garmin's own privacy notice also applies to information it processes.
5. Who can access information?
Authorised Langtons coaches and administrators access information only as needed for their work. We may use vetted technology and service providers for hosting, authentication, messaging, email, payments, and website operation. We require appropriate contractual and security protections where applicable. We may disclose information where legally required.
6. International transfers and security
Some technology providers may process information outside the UK. Where this happens, we assess and use appropriate UK data-transfer safeguards as required. We use access controls and other reasonable technical and organisational measures, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security.
7. How long we keep information
We retain information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described, including the duration of the coaching relationship, handling enquiries and disputes, and meeting accounting or legal obligations. Different categories may have different periods. We review information for deletion or anonymisation when it is no longer required. Contact us for the retention criteria applicable to a particular record.
8. Your rights
Under UK data-protection law, you may have rights to access, correct, erase or restrict your information, object to certain processing, request portability, and withdraw consent without affecting earlier lawful processing. Rights depend on the circumstances and applicable exemptions. Email hello@langtonsfitness.co.uk to make a request. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
9. Children and young people
Where we offer coaching to people under 18, we take account of their age and understanding and involve a parent or guardian where appropriate. We apply additional safeguards to health information and do not knowingly enable wearable-data connections for children without the necessary checks and permissions.
10. Cookies and website technology
Our website may use strictly necessary technologies to operate and protect its services. If optional analytics, advertising or other non-essential cookies are introduced, we will provide the required information and choices before setting them.
11. Updates and questions
We may update this notice as our services change, including when Garmin integration becomes available. Material changes will be communicated where appropriate. Questions can be sent to hello@langtonsfitness.co.uk.
